One of the funniest and most brilliant poets of his generation. The Independent

The best young performance poet around. The Observer

Visceral, poignant and riotously funny. The Scotsman

The new collection from one of Britains most popular poets, The Toll is a tighly-wrought book on politics, family and a crumbling society that sees Luke Wright at the peak of his powers.

Honed on roads, stages and radio shows across the UK, this stunningly crafted new collection demands the cost of living in the contemporary world and explores the toll it takes on us all.
